It must be hiring season...the pings from recruiters is heating up, and mostly from the casual games space, which may be more interested in classic game dev experience than ever as CG's grow n maturity and depth.All these pings start painting a picture...I see someone one-upping OnLive's strategy, and delivering high-end PC and Console games through a web-browser (activeX, widget, etc).
Combine this with a trend where new TV's have apps, including web-browsers in them and you might see IE, Chrome or some new game-central web-portal usurp consoles. Then the TV becomes the final destination in visual entertainment.
It's a good dream to me because it's a practical one. Deliver games-as-service and the hardware wars take place around a more widely relate-able device (TV).
