Paternity Leave

We brought Grace home today. Stressfully joyous! Like games development, plans don't really materialize as expected. Our routine has adjusted on the fly. All the fancy bells and whistles from Babies R Us don't equal the value of one firm, oversized pillow. Instant lap bed and play area.

Shifts are immediately obvious. I watch Grace while Lisa can spend 1-2 hours doing whatever she'd like and vice versa. Seems to work.

Tonight we're going to try putting her down after a feeding and Lisa and I sleeping with her in the bassinet. Although I suspect that I'll be waking up every 15 minutes to check on her.

Such good times, exhausted and loving it.
