- Seeing and smelling their poop makes me just as happy as hitting BlackJack. Woohoo!
- They pretty much do 3 things. Eat, Poop, Sleep. Ahhh the life
- They only leave you with the energy to Eat, Poop, and Sleep (sometimes)
- They smell wonderful. There really is a 'Baby Smell'. (not counting poop here)
- Their poop starts as a thick black tar like substance called Meconium. No odor, and STICKY. I feel like I'm cleaning up the Valdez spill, but off of a butt and not a bird.
- They lose some percentage of their birth weight over the first few days, then (ideally) gain it back and then some by the second week of life
- If you don't already, you start thinking about your own health from a very new perspective

ReplyDeleteBeware of the exploding poop. Not only will you need an extra outfit or two for the baby, Mom and Dad will need an extra shirt or pants as well.
